What I Liked
1. We see Hector portrayed by the late Kamar de los Reyes walking into a subway tunnel when he sees two men who look to be roughing up another man, so he steps and and they begin to fight when one of the men throws a punch in which Hector dodges causing the man to be hit by a train, when it’s revealed that the men were police.
2. Fisk is already a great politician. On the way to do some meet and greets, Fisk is stuck in traffic because of a huge hole in the ground and the builders are waiting on the go-ahead to fill in the hole. So Fisk tells the foreman to get the hole filled and immediately turns to the cameras and begins to do a monologue.
3. While looking for Hector’s suit for court, Cherry comes across a box. Within this box is the White Tiger suit. Cherry and McDuffie are trying to get Hector’s wife to come to court to help with his trial. Cherry tells Matt about Hector’s true personality.
4. I do like how the police commissioner has made it his mission to get Fisk out of office. We all know Fisk, we all know who he is, so Fisk being the man he is, finds the police commissioner’s wife and son and sort of threatens him.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be when Matt follows the other detective home. Matt finds the man who Hector saved but just in time because the detective is coming to kill him. The detective grabs Matt and we see a Punisher symbol. The two detectives start beating Matt down until he gets up and breaks one detective’s arm and brutally beats the other one.
Standout Character
I’m going to give this to Matt as it was very similar to how he chose Karen as a client in the Netflix series and seeing him slowly become into the Daredevil character again is amazing.
Verdict
While this episode wasn’t as good as the first episode. I did like how this episode focused on the introduction to Hector who was White Tiger and I am interested in seeing more. I also liked how the episode focused on Matt being a lawyer. The Wilson/Vanessa therapy storyline was a little bit of a lackluster moment.
