What I Liked
1. Hector’s niece arrives at the morgue to see Hector. She speaks with Matt about the police being the ones who killed Hector and that she hates that no one will do anything because they are the police. Matt tells her that “someone” will find Hector’s killer.
2. I do like how we’re getting to see such a strong character in Wilson Fisk go through therapy. It’s a massive thing nowadays when you see men openly speak about their issues and what is going on in their personal lives.
3. I do like how Matt’s new client doesn’t truly trust him as a lawyer because of his blindness. The client wants to fight for probation and will not let Matt explain to him what will happen. Matt being the good lawyer he is though, gets it down to 10 days.
4. You know what, Daredevil might just be one of the best superheroes. With his abilities alone make him such a good character and well-written from hearing people’s hearts to see if they are being truthful to hearing different sounds.
5. We get to see two sides of a coin. On one side we see Matt begin to train and slowly embrace the Daredevil side of himself again while on the other side of the coin, we get to see Fisk be the brutal and sadistic character he is and Adam as a prisoner while eating a nicely cooked meal in front of him.
6. Muse is finally introduced into the series. I can not wait to see more.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment was the scene between Punisher and Matt. This scene was raw, emotional, impactful, powerful, and just straight-up perfect. The chemistry between the two is on a whole different level, it was in the Netflix series and it continues into this series.
Standout Character
I’m going to give this to The Punisher. He came in and this was a perfect scene. Both characters brought the best out of each other.
Verdict
A slow build episode but overall this episode was so impactful. The scenes between The Punisher and Matt were absolutely perfection. The scene between Fisk and Vanessa was amazing as well. While no action was put in this episode, the story made up for it.
