Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been petitioning to play Black Adam for nearly a decade now and well, he’s getting his chance to play the badass anti-hero in the DC Extended Universe in his solo movie.
Details on the plot are being kept under wraps which are suspected but I fully trust The Rock to deliver his best Hollywood performance yet.
Over the last 6-9 months we’ve seen the cast come together for the Justice Society in which will be a big part of the Black Adam live-action movie, and in recent days Pierce Brosnan has been cast as Dr. Fate.
Now, Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Black Adam has taken over Times Square in New York City to reveal the long-awaited date for Black Adam.
That’s right, the DC Extended Universe landscape is going to change when the badass Black Adam is arriving in live-action form on July 29, 2022.
It’s great that the reveal date has been revealed with filming scheduled to begin next month in April 2021. It shouldn’t be long until the actual Black Adam suit reveal as I’m sure they wouldn’t want leaks to come from filming.
All I know is that I’m excited to see Dwayne The Rock Johnson kick-ass in the DC Extended Universe.
