The Game Awards kicked off their ceremony in great fashion and continued throughout the night by giving games a trophy for certain categories.
Throughout the event, they also revealed games and released a couple of movie and TV series trailers for upcoming projects from HALO to Wonder Woman the game.
It was a pretty eventful night which took me by surprise countless times with the reveals of upcoming games.
So for everything you missed, fear not, everything will be in this article.
Star Wars Eclipse
The first major announcement was a new Star Wars game called “Star Wars Eclipse”. Developed and created by Quantum Dream, this is an original story set around the time of the high republic in the Star Wars Universe. You will play as different characters and can choose the outcome of each character.

Keeping this Sonic train running, he will be receiving an open-world game next holidays. While a trailer wasn’t released we do have photos that were released. I must admit, an open-world Sonic game has me curious about the “speed” mechanics that Sonic has.

HALO TV Series
Ending the night with a big reveal was the Paramount+ live-action TV series, HALO. Based on the iconic game franchise, the series follows that of the Master Chief. I must admit, while I’m not a big lover of the game, this TV series looks absolutely insane in terms of quality, my only worry is, can they pull it off?
Enjoy the trailer below.
While these were the big reveals of the night, we did get some other game announcements such as DUNE Spice Wars which is a strategy game set in Frank Herbert’s sci-fi universe.
Keanu Reeves appeared towards the end to announce a demo surrounding the Matrix. He debuted a first look trailer which is titled “Matrix Awakens” and can be downloaded on PS5 or XSX/S for free now. This is around a 20 or so minute demo on Unreal Engine 5 and from what I have personally seen, this looks absolutely insane and so much like real life.
