While everyone is waiting on the first official trailer for the very long-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi series to premiere, we have some rumored news that Obi-Wan will appear somewhere else in the galaxy.
According to The Illuminerdi, Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan will be reoccurring on the Disney+ Andor series in the near future.
While we don’t know what the Jedi Master’s role will be in the Andor series, we know it’s reportedly “sizable” and we already know that Rogue One was a prequel movie to Episode 4 so we can only assume that Obi-Wan will meet Cassian Andor at some point in the Star Wars timeline.
This is an interesting turn of events, as given how long it took to actually bring Ewan McGregor back to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’s strange that they handed him not only a series of his own but a “sizable” role on Andor.
There are already many theories floating around inside my brain trying to figure out what he could be doing, why is he there, and at what point is this actually set in the timeline.
This also confirms that Lucasfilm is trying to connect all of their TV shows and movies into one big universe, something even Marvel struggled with throughout their movies and shows.
