Green Lantern HBO Max Series – What’s Happening?

DC Comics, Warner Bros, and HBO Max are creating a Green Lantern series based on multiple Green Lanterns. We’ve only heard minuscule things about the series, which doesn’t sit well with me, especially if they are pushing it on HBO Max.

According to a website, the synopsis for the series is as stated “The Green Lantern Corps is an outer-space law-enforcement agency aided by each members’ individual power ring that grants the wearer abilities based on the strength of their own willpower. Follows the adventures of a multitude of Lanterns, including Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, and Alan Scott – Earth’s first Green Lantern, who, true to the comics, is a gay man – and many more.” Strangely, the listing also refers to this production as a “feature film,”.

The series is eyeing to begin production in spring 2021. HBO Max is gearing up to begin filming on April 12, 2021 (today actually). But what is happening with the series, we only know it’s happening and certain Green Lanterns will appear in the series.

We don’t know anything about the cast, who’s actually been cast in the series, which Lanterns it will actually focus on in the series when the series will be releasing.

We haven’t even had our first look at anything yet, suits, characters, behind-the-scenes filming (understandable with Covid) but it just seems like it’s a major show with a ghost cast. It legitimately feels like Casper the Ghost is in the cast.

DC Comics and Warner Bros tend to be very secretive, yet do reveal stuff but with this series, it just feels like they’ve greenlit it and are just leaving it alone.

This is beyond disappointed, especially because there are many actors and actresses that could be amazing in these roles.

I feel like HBO Max, DC Comics, and Warner Bros need to release major information for this series otherwise it’s potentially over before it begins.
