Hogwarts Legacy Has No Plans For Any DLC Content

Say what you will but this game has absolutely smashed records everywhere and is probably going to be up there with the highest-grossing games at the end of 2023.

Director Alan Tew told IGN;

“We’ve been really heads down bringing Hogwarts Legacy to life, so at the moment there are no current plans for DLC”.

We don’t know if this ties up to the current controversy surrounding the game but it seems unlikely. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order never received DLC except for a few added features and items. I fully expect this to be the same with Avalanche Software. They could also do the same as God of War and go straight into a sequel instead.

The game has sold over 12 million units which is a monumental success considering the game is only available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The previous generation consoles and the Nintendo Switch have to wait for the release which will further significantly boost numbers.

If we get DLC or added content then I’ll be happy. If we won’t, then it is what it is. This gaming experience was fantastic and I hope it’s enough for the devs to kickstart a sequel. The controversy enough has made the game even more popular than it hoped to be.

There is plenty of scope for what the developers can do with this now the foundations are laid and built. It’s going to be fantastic to see what comes in the future.
