What I Liked

1. The episode begins with Cecil putting Mark through a series of training exercises to get stronger, faster, and better. We see him go through fighting, speed tests, sitting in lava, and more all to get better as a hero.

2. While trying to save the Declaration of Independence, Rex gets jumped by Paul for allowing Kate to be killed in the line of duty. While Rex is getting badly beaten, Mark tries to save him and begins to brutally kill the clones of Paul.

3. Doctor Seizmic kidnaps every superhero in America while escaping from prison. Doctor Seizmic is such a great villain. Initially, I did not like him, but he’s grown on me as a serious villain. He kidnaps every hero except Mark and Eve.

4. This was a small like but seeing a lot more heroes work together was amazing.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be seeing Mark and Eve fight against Seizmic’s creatures while the other heroes watch on. These creatures are obviously strong even to withstand the strength that Mark currently has, so they have to be interesting and potentially from another world.

Standout Character

This is obviously going to Mark. He’s been a great character within this first episode.

Verdict

An episode that was filled with action and a lot of blood. Invincible is back. While this episode did not truly move forward the overall story of season 2, this was an opening episode that set the tone for the third season.
