Is DC’s “Black Adam” A Runaway Train

DC Comics and Warner Bro’s has mentioned Black Adam for years now, from cameo’s to being a villain, to a standalone movie. They supposedly have had Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson cast for years now and he’s always been their “favorite” for the role of Black Adam.

With Johnson being their favorite, it’s understandable, he fits the role, has the passion and anger that Black Adam has. News for the movie has slowly been released over the last couple of years.

We’ve had many “start dates” for filming, however when we get close, filming “magically” moves, from film dates to shooting the movie, to cast schedules. Yes, it’s hard to pin down an actor for a solo movie, especially one as big as Black Adam.

It’s only recently we’ve had any knowledge or stuff revealed about the movie, from who’s set to appear to who’s been cast.

But is the movie itself A runaway train? I mean, the star of the movie, Dwayne Johnson is on a roll at the box office, as well as PPV movies with Netflix, etc. He’s been set to begin filming Black Adam more than once but Johnson himself keeps signing onto other movie roles which are causing me to lose faith in actually seeing the movie.

It’s going to be a while before we even see Black Adam go up against Zachary Levi’s Shazam or even the Shazam family. The longer we wait, the more challenges they’ll have for shooting the movie and any potential movie after Johnson’s standalone Black Adam movie.

We have had a tease, although it was artwork, we’ve had casting’s like Aldis Hodge as Hawkman and Sarah Shahi also joining Johnson among the cast of the movie.

While I personally think Johnson has a passion for the role and the character himself, I do think he needs to lay upon signing onto every role he can before shooting this movie, It’s time for him to focus on Black Adam and giving us the best performance as him.

There are endless possibilities with Johnson as Black Adam in the DCEU… Not only could we see him go up against Shazam, but even Henry Cavill’s Superman. That would be epic.
