Is Insomniac Games Wolverine Doomed?

If you have missed it, lately Insomniac Games is going through a tough time. Recently they’ve been hacked and the hackers have leaked a ton of stuff from future games to personal information. One major hit they took was with the upcoming Wolverine game.

Wolverine is an upcoming game that focuses on the mutant, while not much initially appeared online for the game, as it was in early development. With these leaks, multiple bits of stuff have been leaked because Insomniac Games refused to pay the ransom. This saw the release of pre-alpha footage, dialogue, locations, and cast, and heartbreakingly, a dev build of the game has been leaked online for people to play.

This is heartbreaking for the studio, for the devs (for having their game leaked and personal information released so they’ve been doxxed), and for the TRUE fans. I say true fans because while Wolverine fans might be excited, they shouldn’t be posting anything. Stick to supporting the studio.

As you can imagine, for something as huge as this, the leaks will be everywhere. I have seen new things on social media since the leak and I hate it. One of the things I see is people talking about the game and what this leak means.

People are saying that the game will be delayed, will not release at all, and should be canceled but I don’t think Insomniac will do this. I think they’ll still create the game. I mean, the game was rumored to be a 2025 release so if this leak means a delay by a few months so they can go back and change a few things then so be it.

I don’t think they’ll write this game off, while they don’t owe fans anything regarding Wolverine, they do care about them and will make this game for them. This isn’t an ordinary leak either. This is the worst of the worst leak. Just today, the guy who leaked the GTA 6 videos was sentenced to life in a hospital. The hackers who leaked everything from Insomniac deserve the same.

I hope we still get this game, I hope we still get a badass Wolverine game.
