Coming in 2024, DC will release a trilogy series of movies focused on the fan-favorite Crisis on Infinite Earths story. This will consist of parts 1, 2, and 3.
The story revolves around The Monitor bringing together DC’s heroes from the multiverse to do battle with the Anti-Monitor.
Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths sees heroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and more unite together to save the multiverse from complete destruction.
Originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2023, Crisis joins a long list of fantastic animated movies from DC. It’s one of their best selection of movies, it feels more stable than anything live-action.
Crisis on Infinite Earths was previously portrayed in the CW’s Arrowverse which included the shows Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batgirl. That storyline saw the return of Tom Welling as a retired Man of Steel and saw Brandon Routh portray both his DC characters in The Atom and return to the role of Superman, only from a different time from his movie and he actually portrayed the Kingdom Come Superman.
As well as announcing Crisis at SDCC in 2023, DC Studios also announced an animated movie focused on the Watchmen which will also be arriving in 2024.
