Legends of Tomorrow “wvrdr_error_100 not found” Review

Season 7 Episode 3 “Astra and Spooner enter the-now-human Gideon’s mind to save her from a virus, and meet some familiar faces.”

What I Liked?

1. Gideon (now in human form and talking) is with Astra and Spooner when she falls unconscious. So Astra and Spooner devise a plan to use a magic spell and go into the mind of Gideon, to which they do. They are met by returning Legend Jax (albeit a memory). This is when we get a throwback introduction to the episode when we get to see every single logo they’ve had for each season of the series.

2. Jax is basically the computer guy while inside the mind of Gideon, directing Spooner and Astra to where to go, what to look out for. We see the Legends revisit past season memories involving Gideon, the first one they go to is where Gideon learns the human emotion in love. How that Sara and Ava taught Gideon to choose love over anything.

3. This next memory actually made me want to revisit and rewatch the entire first two seasons of Legends of Tomorrow. This was when we got to see most of the season one Legends and their personalities of that said season. We got to see Captain Cold, Hawkman, Badass Sara Lance, and a still-growing Ray Palmer. This brought back so many memories of when this show was at it’s peak.

What I Disliked?

1. This major issue of having last season’s villain return. Bishop was the worst villain of any season of Legends and the worst villain in the entire Arrowverse. Why is he returning as a villain again in this season is beyond me, he’s not scary, he’s not powerful, he does absolutely nothing for me.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment was definitely when evil Gideon was basically mentally tormenting human Gideon by showing her all of the flashbacks of Legends who have either come, went, or died. This was truly so great to see.

Standout Character

Gideon. This episode was huge for Gideon. This episode was her realizing that whether she’s a voice on the ship, a physical body, she is a Legend. She is a vital part of this team.

The Verdict

Honestly, going into this episode I didn’t know what to expect. All I knew was that previous Legends were returning and they were absolutely incredible. While the story and action lacked, seeing all of the previous Legends was amazing. This was also a huge episode not only for Gideon but for the actress who portrays her.
