Season 1 Episode 1 – After stealing the Tesseract in “Avengers: Endgame,” Loki lands before the Time Variance Authority.”
What I Liked
1. I know it’s all prerecorded from Endgame but it’s just damn nice to see the Avengers again. Even if it’s a scene that we can watch on Disney+ anyway.
2. Was there any need to have that slow motion?! I couldn’t stop laughing.
3. As if Loki was actually D.B. Cooper! I had a huge interest in him because of the Prison Break show, so this was a fantastic scene all around.
4. I love the fact that Mobius is actually showing Loki his future. Throughout this episode, I’ve often forgotten that this is the Loki from the 2012’s Avengers and not the one we lost in Endgame. Loki gets super defensive when Agent Mobius shows Loki his mother’s death, and it is nice to see his reaction from that as well.
5. Loki comes close to escaping until realizing just how powerful the TVA actually is. So he goes back to the Time Theatre and watches through his life from then, including scenes with Odin, Thor, and even his death to Thanos. The tape runs off after this, so all the theories that Loki may have survived, he doesn’t.
What I Disliked

Favourite Moment
The entire process of Loki being “processed” was so fascinating. It’s more intriguing the fact they had a massive pile of paper with every single thing he’s ever said. I love the uniqueness of this. It is nice to get a feel of who the TVA actually is, and how it all works there as well.
Standout Character
This is the easiest standout in the entire world, it’s obviously Loki. There’s nothing much more to say than he was absolutely outstanding. Bravo Tom Hiddleston!
Verdict
A perfect start to what looks like is going to be a perfect series. I was so happy that the show was announced in the first place, and even more so that it’s finally here. The Pilot episode was absolutely perfect!
