Skydance New Media and Marvel have released a brand new story trailer for the upcoming World War 2-era game titled “Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra” at the Epic Games’ State of Unreal showcase.
Helmed by award-winning writer and director, Amy Hennig, Marvel Games released new details on their game which focuses on a narrative-driven action-adventure game. Fans got a sneak peek into an original story that takes players on a WWII-era adventure with an ensemble of four playable heroes at different points in the game.
As players progress through the game, players will assume the role of the four playable characters which are;
- Young Steve Rogers AKA Captain America
- T’Challa’s grandfather, Azzuri, the WWII-era Black Panther
- Gabriel Jones, a U>S> soldier and member of the Howling Commandos
- Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris
The new story trailer was revealed at the Epic Games’ State of Unreal keynote on March 20, 2024, where Skydance New Media and Epic Games announced their ongoing collaboration to bring state-of-the-art visuals to the game.
The game has a release date of sometime in 2025, players can look forward to seeing gameplay inspired by Marvel’s landmark comics, films, and television series.
