Marvel Studios is officially moving away from Jonathan Majors after he has been found guilty by a Manhattan jury.
Majors was found guilty of harassment and reckless assault in the third degree. This was a highly public case as the video of the assault went viral. Majors was found not guilty of intentional assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree.
He faces up to 1 year in prison and will be sentenced on February 6th, 2024.
The altercation took place on March 25th this year and his future in Marvel has been up for question ever since. That question is still up in the air as we’re unaware at this stage if Marvel will recast or move away from Kang. All we know as of now is that Jonathan Majors will not be a part of Marvel moving forward.
Grace Jabbari, Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend was hospitalized as a result of the assault. An NYPD spokesperson confirmed she sustained minor injuries to her head and neck.
These charges were brought forward by the state of New York after multiple alleged abuse victims of Majors also came forward.
In our news articles, we do like to give our opinion on the matter but I will keep it brief for now. As Majors has been found guilty in the eyes of the law then that’s that. Unfortunately, you can’t play a major role in Marvel with this behind you. I just hope Marvel created a contingency plan when this all came to the public eye earlier this year.
