Mary Elizabeth Winstead Joins “Ahsoka”

With the Ahsoka series gearing up to begin filming in only a few short months, it’s only right that fans get some castings revealed closer to the beginning of filming.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the latest actor jumping into the Star Wars universe with her being the recent casting for the highly-anticipated series.

Rosario Dawson is starring as the fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano, a character who made the leap from the animated series The Clone Wars and made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian season 2.

Hayden Christensen is also returning as Anakin Skywalker for the series which is set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi.

Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno has also been cast in an undisclosed role while Australian thespian Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine Wren.

Plot details and Winstead’s character information are being kept hidden for now but assuming this will change once photographers get behind-the-scene photos of her character on set.

Star Wars steward Dave Filoni is writing the series and exec producing with Jon Favreau. Production begins this spring in California.
