As the days ever get so close to the release of the upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series on Disney+, you can expect more stills as well as footage to be released until the series premieres.
Today, we got more stills that showcase the broken Jedi being hunted.
As the series comes closer to release, I feel like not only mine but many others’ excitement and hype for the series just continually grows to insane heights.
The series is rumored to have many cameos that are unknown, which at this point, can be anyone in the Star Wars universe. So many people that I would want to see appear or debut in live-action.
As these new stills were released, I also saw tweets praising the look of the Grand Inquisitor, something that a lot of people didn’t give a chance and just instantly went negative about.
I can not wait for this series, to see Ewan McGregor back as Obi-Wan, Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader as well as rumored to be back as Anakin Skywalker in the Clone Wars is huge.
Hayden Christensen when asked if James Earl Jones will voice Darth Vader in OBI-WAN KENOBI: “No comment.”
“When George [Lucas] had brought me onto the prequels, it was to play Anakin, He gets knighted as Darth Vader towards the end, and for a couple of scenes, I get to put the suit on. But my journey with the character was with Anakin Skywalker. But the character? He’s such a complex character. And now, getting to explore the mindset and the emotional state of Darth Vader, has been a lot of fun.”
While the Darth Vader actor didn’t want to speak on the Ahsoka series appearance, he did comment “The extent of this journey, I think, remains to be seen,” he says. “But what a privilege to get to come back and do this, and to be a part of this project.”
Ewan McGregor said “I’ve never met Darth Vader, I had rehearsed the scene with Vader, but not with the helmet on or anything like that. When we came to do the scene, when they shouted ‘action’, he had to come from behind me. I turned around, and fucking Darth Vader was coming at me. It was like I was six again. I’d never acted into Vader’s helmet. I’d never looked him in the eye. It scared the shit out of me.”
“I’m not joking. It gave me a proper jolt of absolute fear. I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s not acting. That’s real. I’m really, truly frightened right now, And the same thing would happen with the Stormtroopers. I’d worked with Clone troopers before, but so many of them were CGI. I never worked with Stormtroopers, and, again, I was like seven years old again. Because when you’re actually faced with a Stormtrooper, with a blaster, it’s like: ‘Fucking hell.’
Deborah Chow, who previously worked on The Mandalorian, says. “Just having Vader standing in front of you is a crazy thing. It’s an amazing thing, but it’s very intense when you first start doing it.”
The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney Plus on Friday, May 27, with subsequent episodes premiering on Wednesdays.
