Season 1 Episode 1 “A new series from James Gunn starring John Cena.”

What I Liked?
1. Immediately, the episode begins with the same humor that John Cena and James Gunn brought to the Suicide Squad movie. I absolutely love this! John Cena is so perfect as this hated character. What a beginning. What is this introduction to the show? This is absolutely hilarious.
2. There is a scene where Peacemaker returns to his home which is a trailer and it’s absolutely dirty, trashy, and downright disgusting, it truly makes you feel bad for this character, and then you remember all of the bad things he did in the Suicide Squad movie.
3. The introduction to Adrian Chase was decent, a bit different from what I’ve known but ultimately I feel like he’s going to be a standout character throughout the series. I can not wait to see him suit up and team up with Peacemaker.
4. it’s nice to see Amanda Waller return in the DCEU, even if it was over a screen. I like how we’re slowly learning the background of this new character being introduced and it’s none other than Amanda’s own daughter.
What I Disliked?

Favorite Moment
My favorite moment was definitely when Peacemaker was singing in his tighty whitey’s and then gets attacked by the girl he slept with at the bar when she attacks him with a knife. She fully slices and beats him up. She’s obviously some kind of creature/supervillain that can sustain some crazy damage until Peacemaker uses his helmet’s “Sonic Boom” ability which just totally blows up this villain.
Standout Character
Peacemaker gets this standout. He was absolutely hilarious in this episode. The episode also made you feel bad for him at certain points.
The Verdict
What a start to what seems to be a roller coaster of emotion series. This first episode was laying the groundwork for the rest of the season so the story was quite interesting and yet left me wanting more. The action was great and hilarious. John Cena absolutely kills it once again.
