In the previous 24 hours, a lot of movement has been made on the adaption of the hit video game into a series and will be made by HBO Max, so we’re expecting big things to come from this.
Pedro Pascal has been cast as Joel, whilst Bella Ramsey has been cast as Ellie. Both of which have played roles within Game of Thrones, but seemingly never at the same time.
The show will follow the same story as the video game it seems, in a post-apocalyptic USA fighting zombies, which we’re extremely happy about.
I’m a huge fan of the video games, both of them, and I’m incredibly excited to see how they go with the show.
The hit show Chernobyl’s creator Craig Mazin alongside the game’s Director Neil Druckmann will produce the show. Carolyn Strauss will also be alongside the pair.
Neil received a lot of backlash last year due to his approach in Last of Us 2, but for me personally, I really enjoyed the game so I am excited to see where they go with this that’s for sure.
We don’t have a release date just yet, due to the early status of the show and the castings just taking place. The castings are fantastic, and I believe both starring casts will do wonders with their respective roles.
