What I Liked

1. Daveboy, he’s hilarious and such a great character. He and Alfred are in the Scottish Highlands searching for a secret prison. Only Daveboy could pick a fight and threaten a pack of sheep. I love this character.

2. The flashbacks that Alfred is getting while inside the prison are very important. It’s important for Alfred’s backstory, his present, and potentially his future. I wish we got more flashbacks over the course of the show.

3. Alfred and Zeya are escaping the prison when Zeya asks for a weapon, Alfred gives him it and immediately gets the gun pointed at him because Zeya kind remembered a handful of memories, his wife, his daughter, and the voice of the man who took him away from his family. Zeya drops the gun and tells Alfred that saving him doesn’t make Alfred a good man.

4. I do like how they are bringing back “enhanced” people into the story. They are using an enhanced person to control people’s minds. It’s an interesting concept, to say the least. I wonder if it has anything to do with Alfred’s flashbacks.

What I Disliked

I get that Alfred wants to find the person he captured 10+ years ago but following a stranger’s word and not telling Daveboy and bringing him along to the prison is a huge mistake and will go badly. I wish Alfred would think these things through before enacting his plan even though he can handle himself.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would simply be the flashbacks that Alfred got when he was getting tortured mentally. They were a massive part of this episode and something that obviously affected Alfred very deeply and something that he tried to keep locked away.

Standout Character

I was so tempted to give this to Daveboy but I just can not move past the fact that this was a huge episode for Alfred mentally. The things he had to fight inside of his mind, the things he had to repeat on a loop while being tortured were insane.

Verdict

Overall, not the best episode but certainly not the worst. This was a huge episode for Alfred for him to have to move past his ghost, take them head-on, and win all while being mentally tortured. Daveboy is fantastic and one of the best characters in the entire show.
