Pierce Brosnan joins Dwayne Johnson in “Black Adam” as Dr. Fate

A report coming from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Pierce Brosnan has joined the DC Extended Universe in Dwayne Johnson’s “Black Adam” movie.

In what will be the first superhero movie of his career, Pierce Brosnan will play the iconic Dr. Fate in New Lines action-adventure project featuring the badass DC Comics antihero.

Brosnan is the last key member of the insanely talented roster for the production which will feature the live-action movie debut of the Justice Society.

Brosnan joins the rest of the members of the Justice Society which are already cast, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone.

Black Adam is the second New Line and DC Film following the Shazam movie starring Zachary Levi. Shazam and Black Adam are arch-rivals in the DC Universe.

Black Adam is headed towards an April start of production which will be in Atlanta. Plot details are very secret as are character details for Marwan Kenzari who is also cast in Black Adam.

This is certainly a casting I’d never expected to see along with the Helen Mirren casting for Shazam! Fury of the Gods. It’ll be interesting to see Brosnan as Dr. Fate.
