Now while a lot of things are unconfirmed in regards to Grand Theft Auto 6, it should not be long before we start to receive information about the game and the marketing will be in full effect.
Now, while this is unconfirmed, so take this with a tiny grain of salt, a user claims to have seen a few hours of gameplay from a 2024 test build. While this is still unconfirmed and could well be false, we did get a bunch of leaks from the game.
I’ll only mention a few of the points from the thread over on X, which you can read in full here.
The NPCs
According to this thread, shooting the NPCs around the map makes it so realistic. NPCs react with realistic movements and show pain/shock when they’re shot, similar to how it was in GTA 4. Stomach shots make them move, bend forward, put a hand on the stomach, and even speak about it.
Cops can also set up a crime scene after a shooting and take pictures, and measurements, and the bodies will be picked up and taken away.
The World
The world is alive. Throughout the world, you can see debris and litter of all kinds. The graphics are apparently a real jump in comparison to Red Dead Redemption 2. There will be storms and hurricanes that feel real with wind-moving poles and road signs and you’ll see NPCs losing balance and getting in cover.
Driving
The driving physics in the game has been updated. Each vehicle will have its own feel and extra weight (armor, passengers, bodies in trunk) will push the rear end down. The crash physics are similar to a simulator and cars can bend or cut in half after hitting a thick pole.
While buildings can’t be destroyed completely, they can be damaged to a certain degree. Players can destroy doors, windows, walls, and roofs.
Now again, take this with a grain of salt. These details all sound amazing and you can read the threat in it’s entirety. I hope this is true as Grand Theft Auto 6 does need to be more realistic with how gaming engines are these days.
