Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom Reportedly From The Same Universe As Fantastic Four

According to scooper DanielRPK, Robert Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom is reportedly from the same universe that the Fantastic Four is from in the upcoming movie “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”.

There have been many questions from a lot of fans since this news broke at San Diego Comic-Con such as Where did he come from from? Why is he Doctor Doom? while these are all valid questions that will be answered in a few years for now, if this is true, one question has been answered.

If Doom is truly from the same universe as Fantastic Four, does this also mean that this Doom is also from the 60s as this is when Fantastic Four is rumored to be set in time-wise? It will be interesting to see how Doom as well as the Fantastic Four adapt to modern times.

While the reaction to this news has somewhat been positive, there is a massive part of the fandom that hates this casting due to people believing this will be an “evil” Tony Stark and not the “real” Doctor Doom.

I’m hopeful that they follow the story where Doom becomes Tony and Tony becomes Doom but I will be disappointed in this casting if it is just purely an evil Tony Stark.

If this is just an evil Tony Stark, I do hope that we get a main Doctor Doom who comes to hate Reed Richards and the F4 team and becomes a mainstay villain for that family. Could we see a cameo from Downey Jr in the Fantastic Four movie?
