Ron Livingston to Replace Billy Crudup in “The Flash”

After a huge refresh take on the character of The Flash in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, we got to explore some of the story of Barry Allen in the movie. We got to see him visit his father, Henry in prison played by Billy Crudup.

Billy Crudup was set to reprise his role as Henry Allen in the upcoming The Flash movie which was scheduled to start filming in April in the UK. Billy was meant to rejoin the cast in the “flashpoint” movie but unfortunately with travel restrictions, quarantine, and a full schedule filming a TV series Billy had to drop out of the movie.

With a quick replacement, Ron Livingston has been cast and will now portray Henry Allen in the upcoming DC Extended Universe film.

Ian Loh has also joined the cast of The Flash as “young Barry Allen”. Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso have also joined the cast in undisclosed roles.

The Flash movie is currently scheduled to release in theaters on November 4, 2022. This will be the first standalone movie for The Flash character in the DC Extended Universe.

The movie has also potentially been hit with another departure as Michael Keaton is unsure if he can film the movie with the current pandemic. We’ll update once more information drops for this departure.
