Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order fans will love this. Cameron Monaghan the actor who portrays the now-beloved Jedi survivor Cal Kestis is reportedly getting a Disney+ series.
Kristian Harloff revealed that he was told by a reliable source, someone who he has trusted before that Cameron Monaghan is being approached to do a live-action spin-off series to the Star Wars video game series.
Harloff said; “Rumor, rumor, rumor… Have to say that – not confirmed! Got this from someone I’ve trusted in the past, tells me this is a thing… The rumor itself, at the moment, is that there is a Cal Kestis show in the works for Disney Plus. The rumor is that [the actor Cameron Monaghan has] actually signed on to play the character from Jedi: Fallen Order in a live-action series for Disney Plus. There’s no production dates set, but my source tells me that this is happening.”
This rumor isn’t far off being an actual thing simply because of them making the character of Cal Kestis look exactly like the actor, and this makes more sense considering that for the sequel game they’ve updated the player model to look even more like Cameron.
The sequel game now lines up with the timeline of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, if they didn’t want to do a live-action series within the same realm of time of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the writers have a 5-year gap they could work with for the series.
There are no production dates set as of yet but the rumor is that Cameron Monaghan has actually signed on to play the character in a live-action series for Disney+.
