What I Liked
1. Nice little easter egg to a particular mutant with metal claws, nice. Is this Wolverine being confirmed to be already causing issues within the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Is he young or is he old? Fighting in a bar means he’s an adult but a young adult or an older version like we’ve previously seen in live-action? So many questions.
2. The debut of Abomination into the She-Hulk series. It’s great to see Abomination back into live action. I feel like he needs a new arc whether that is bad or good. It was great to see him in Shang-Chi so I’m interested to see where this story goes.
3. Jennifer rings Bruce to inform him about her taking the job of Abomination. Bruce’s response and fair play to the writers for this was simply “that fight was many years ago, I’m a completely different person now”. I just found this scene absolutely great. Bruce traveling through space in a Sakaar ship?
What I Disliked
I get that the jury might be biased but she literally saved lives and is being fired from the DA’s office? I’m sorry but I get why it could affect her cases but she doesn’t deserve to be fired for being a superhero.
Favourite Moment
My favorite moment was when Jennifer finally accepts to represent Abomination. Her boss tells her to turn the TV on to a news report showing Abomination fighting in an underground fight club. I like how this series is tying in with Shang Chi.
Standout Character
I’ve got to give it to She-Hulk. She was once again great and it’s no shock since it’s her series.
Verdict
This episode felt very quick. I mean very quick indeed. I felt like I was just getting into the episode and then it finished. I do like and I’m very interested in the Blonsky storyline. I want to see how it plays out. I want to see if it truly connects to Shang Chi or if it’s just a cheap answer to show why he’s a villain.
