She-Hulk: Attorney at Law “The People vs. Emil Blonsky” Review

Season 1 Episode 3 – “She-Hulk represents Emil Blonsky aka The Abomination, but his parole hearing doesn’t go as planned.”

Please note, our reviews are based on likes and dislikes. These contain major spoilers. If you haven’t already watched the episode we would recommend that you click off the article, and come back once you have watched the episode. Enjoy!

What I Liked

1. The fourth wall breaking by Jennifer Walters actually works. I’m beginning to like it. I can not imagine what it would be like if Jennifer and Deadpool meet. The fourth wall breaking would be insane.

2. It’s always good to see Wong. Wong explains to Jennifer that he “extracted” Emil out of his cell so he could fight a worthy opponent for him to become Sorcerer Supreme.

What I Disliked

1. The CGI and VFX for She-Hulk in her office is horrible. I don’t know what the budget was but this was by far the worst-looking CGI and VFX that has happened in this series thus far. I hope this changes but I don’t see it changing for a while.

2. The “side story” court case is simply boring. It is only done simply to bring a celebrity into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it doesn’t mean anything, it is simply boring. Just an episode filler. I hope this isn’t a major thing throughout this series.

Favorite Moment

Finally some action. Some “bad guys” try to get the jump on Jennifer Walters in an alley using Asgardian weapons and they try to steal her blood. This is probably the most action we’ve had since episode 1.

Standout Character

Once again, She-Hulk is the standout. We’ve finally had more action, although only like a minute of it. Nonetheless, she was the standout.

Verdict

Honestly, such a bad episode. Boring storylines, less than a minute of action. Bad CGI and VFX. Bringing in a celebrity to get some hype for the series turned into one of the worst ideas ever. The “post-credit” scene was horrible too.
