Should Disney Create A Star Wars “What If” Series?

Most of us have heard of the new Disney+ series coming next year. It’s a Marvel’s What If animation series, showing us what could have happened during the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Of course, you always question certain decisions and say “what if that happened?”. Like, what if Iron Man never went to Titan and stayed behind? What if Iron Man was never captured? What if the serum was never made for Captain America? Some of these will be episodes we will know the answers to.

But what about Star Wars? Especially the Prequels?

There’s a magnitude of channels on there that do explain what could have happened, but this would be so much better if it came from the creators themselves.

What if Mace Windu consulted with the Jedi council before going after Palpatine? What if Yoda went to Mustafar to face Anakin? What if Padme never went on that mission with Qui-Gon? What if Palpatine never deliberately made Vader’s suit uncomfortable?

Star Wars has become a part of most of our lives, and those of who watch do question decisions the same way we do with any of movie franchise.

The question is yes absolutely. I feel this type of What If series would be more interesting compared to the MCU. Just because the decisions that happened in the Prequels changed the entire Star Wars canon as we know it.

Whilst I am excited about the MCU version, I would absolutely love to see a Star Wars version.

What do you think? Should Disney pull the trigger on this one and let it happen? I’m sure George Lucas had many alternative story-lines, so why not bring these to life?
