Should Legends of Tomorrow Be Cancelled?

Legends of Tomorrow began back in 2016 off the back of incredible hype. The trailers had some fantastic crossover footage, and genuinely looked to be a strong contender with the other Arrowverse shows.

When season 1 launched, it had a deep plot, a scary unpredictable villain, and the overall feel of the series was that of a serious one.

I was hooked through the first season. Watching the snippets for the next weeks episode, the cast were phenomenal, and the story was perfect.

I often ask, after that, what actually happened?

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow — “The Virgin Gary”

It was like the Saints Row game franchise. First two games had a serious vibe, then after it went silly it fell flat. This is the route I feel Legends of Tomorrow has gone.

Season 3 was the most ridiculous TV I watched. I never reviewed season 3 on the site, but I know the other writers barely gave many episodes anything above a 7/10.

The question from the article; should it be cancelled?

Absolutely.

I have no love for this show anymore. It has so much potential to bring in past, and future characters. It does nothing. In season 1 we got future Star City, and a lot of Easter eggs.

It had the opportunity to bring in heroes such as Batman Beyond, Bart Allen, Kaleb, heroes we would absolutely love to see. Instead of that, we get a fairy god mother…

It stresses me out. Time travel should bring in these characters, even at a cameo status but they just don’t. The characters barely have any interesting arks anymore. In fact, we don’t even see them fight all that much. I could probably count on one hand how many times we saw ATOM do anything good with the suit all season. How many times Nate used his power. It’s lacklustre, and most of all, it’s boring.

More importantly, I understand why people do like the show. However I feel after season 1, it was never as good. The writers need to step away. If this show is to continue, it needs a massive change.
