Recently, the latest Star Wars video game has been released by Ubisoft and currently, I am playing through it and thoroughly enjoying it. The main character is named Kay Vess and she’s motion-captured and voiced by Humberly Gonzalez.
With the video game being set between episodes five and six, should Star Wars bring her to live-action? She’s a name that a ton of people know in the Star Wars underworld and has connections with each major faction as well as Hondo Ohnaka, and Lando Calrissian.
Recently, Humberly was asked about potentially bringing the character to live-action and this is what she had to say.
“I think it would be incredible to see Kay Vess in live action, because one thing that we don’t see in animation is those micro expressions of a real human being on screen,” González said. “And it would be incredible for me to experience what it would be like to be literally in her costume, in her appearance, her likeness, in the landscape, to see her interact with real characters, the creatures. It would be a dream come true. I certainly would not say no to the opportunity. And I think there’s so many opportunities to see Kay Vess and other aspects of established roles in ‘Star Wars,’ because we’re in the original trilogy, and there’s so many opportunities for her to exist or show up and in different places. So it would be amazing, and I think fans would love it.”
Honestly, I would bring her into the live-action section of Star Wars. She would fit right in beside characters such as The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka. She’s a scoundrel and she would be such a great addition to the live-action aspect.
Plus, it’s always a great choice to bring the voice actor of the character over to live-action, as seen with Bo-Katan who was portrayed by Katee Sackhoff who also voiced her in the animated series.
I would love for Humberly to receive this chance and it would be interesting to see where Kay’s story goes.
