Should The Star Was Prequels Really Be Rebooted?

An edgy topic, but one that a lot of people seem to despise. The Prequels. I’ve been reading different articles, listening to others thoughts and they all seem to point to a reboot.

While I agree, the Prequels could have been done better. I think Order 66 would have been better suited to Episode 2, then Episode 3 have Vader hunting Jedi. That’s my take on how it should have went, but personally, I absolutely loved the Prequels.

Why? I grew up with them. I love lightsaber combat, and the Prequels were full of it. I feel like Episode 3 is definitely up there as one of the best Star Wars movies.I definitely enjoyed them.

Jumping back to the question, should they be rebooted?

No. They absolutely shouldn’t be. Even though they’re deeply hated, I still believe this would be a step in the wrong direction. Here’s a few reasons as to why;

1. They’re part of the lore now. Revenge of the Sith came out 14 years ago.

2. It’s time to move on from this era, and focus on something completely different. I.e; going back to the Old Republic.

3. The Prequels are not as bad as some people make them out to be.

4. It gave us the story that we needed, Vader’s backstory. Not to mention Palpatine’s rise to power.

5. Realistically it showed how wrong the Jedi actually were.

I think they’re done now, it’s best to leave it as it is, and move on to something completely new.

An Obi-Wan series is on the horizon, and a Maul series is heavily rumoured. Other than the Skywalker era, I would only want a standalone Vader movie of him hunting down the surviving Jedi from Order 66.

What’s your thoughts? Of course, this is just my own personal opinion on this but I would love to see what you guys think. Let me know in the comments if you believe the Prequels should be rebooted.
