Sony PlayStation’s “Days Gone” Movie Reportedly In Development

According to Deadline, the popular PlayStation exclusive game, Days Gone is set to receive its own adaption from videogame to movie.

This comes after Sony recently made a live-action Uncharted film which earned just over $400m at the box office.

Deadline has reported that PlayStation Productions and Vendetta Productions will produce the film.

There is also talk that Sam Heughan will be poised to play Deacon St. John, who was the protagonist of the game originally modeled and voiced by Sam Witwer.

That’s all we know for now unfortunately as the project seems to be in very early development.

In my own personal views, I’d prefer Sam Witwer to reprise his role as Deacon as Witwer is an amazing actor. However, I do understand why as this is technically a different universe to the game.

The game itself was absolutely brilliant and an entertaining experience. If you own a PS5, you can play it completely free. If you’re a member of Extra and above, you can also download and play the game at no additional cost.

The player controls Deacon St. John, an outlaw-turned-drifter-bounty-hunter who prefers life on the road to wilderness encampments. The game takes place two years after a pandemic killed almost all of humanity and transformed millions of others into “Freakers,” mindless, zombie-like creatures that evolve quickly.
