The official story trailer for the next upcoming Star Wars game has been released. The official Story Trailer for Star Wars Outlaws has released a trailer showcasing the story and revealing some nods to the official movies.
Alongside an action-packed story trailer, Ubisoft also revealed the official release date for the game which is scheduled to be released on August 30, 2024. Players will take control of Kay Vess during a “golden age for the Underworld” in Star Wars.
The game is set in between the events of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi. In the trailer, we get introduced to this golden age by Crime Lord Sliro of the Zerek Besh Syndicate.
Kay Vess finds herself in the middle of the action when she crosses Sliro in a way that players don’t know until they’ve played the game. He begins to hunt her down and to escape, she has to steal his fortune and “buy” her freedom.
Players will once again go to Tatooine but that won’t be all. Players will travel in her ship to other planets in the Outer Rim planets like Kijimi, Akiva, Toshara, and Cantonica. Once on these planets, players will be able to explore on her speeder through the first-ever Star Wars open worlds.
Ubisoft is telling a story of the scoundrels and the Underworld, while the lack of Jedi, lightsabers, and the Force is noticeable, there could be some hiding in the game itself, but we’ll not know as Ubisoft is definitely putting the scoundrels and Underworld as the focus.
There will also be a season pass that includes 2 DLCs, “Jabba’s Gambit” exclusive mission at launch, and the “Kessel Runner character pack” cosmetic pack. The season pass will be included in the Gold Edition and the Ultimate Edition.
The Ultimate Edition also features the “Sabacc Shark Bundle, the Rogue Infiltrator Bundle, and a digital art book.
