Star Wars: The Bad Batch “A Different Approach” Review

Season 3 Episode 4 – “Stranded in dangerous territory, Omega and Crosshair must work together.”

What I Liked

1. Omega and Crosshair have to work together to sneak into a spaceport to hitch a ride on a transport ship. This is pure Star Wars. This brought back many of memories of seeing iconic characters such as R2D2, The Rebels, and more all hiding on a ship to travel somewhere.

2. We get to see Omega use her ability to “hustle” people out of some credits they need to get tickets on a shuttle. When Omega is winning a lot, a Captain walks into the bar and offers her a game. When the Captain is about to head to a victory, Omega wins by using the three best cards.

3. I do like how much Crosshair has changed. Season 1 Crosshair and even maybe early Season 2 Crosshair wouldn’t have helped Omega find the animal that Omega is taking care of. He would usually let her go alone.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be Omega and Crosshair stealing a ship and fleeing the planet after saving the animal and not falling into the trap the Captain set. Omega sends a coded message to Hunter and Wrecker to meet. The reunion that we all were waiting for happens, Omega and Wrecker and Hunter, and the two Bad Batch members reuniting with Crosshair.

Standout Character

The standout will be Crosshair in this episode. He let Omega do it her way, but ultimately, it had to be done in the way Crosshair would have.

Verdict

Overall, even though it was a slow-paced episode to me, the episode was still a fun episode. The episode delivered some character development for Crosshair, by having him actually help Omega with saving her animal. The episode ended with them all reuniting.
