What I Liked
1. It seems like Wolffe is actually working for the Empire. He’s sealing in all the exits that the Batch and Rex are trying to take to leave the spire. I wonder if this is all a plan between Wolffe and Rex?
2. I do like that even though Crosshair’s hand isn’t fully healed yet, he’s still willing to take shots with a sniper. We see him have a one-on-one fight with the Assassin Clone, when he misses this shot, he uses an explosive to slow down the Assassin Clone.
3. The character development for Crosshair has been nothing short of fantastic. Two seasons ago, he wouldn’t even have cared about Omega and her being able to survive in this jungle. Now he’s asking if she’s ok and if she can manage to carry the supplies etc.
4. Wolffe and Rex come face-to-face, Wolffe tells Rex he thought he was dead. Rex tries to talk to Wolffe but it barely manages to get through to him. Rex pleads with Wolffe to do the right thing. I actually like this moment, you can see that Wolffe still has love and respect for Rex, even allowing him to leave knowing that this would probably hurt him when he returns to Tantiss. Wolffe tells his men that they may be traitors but they are Clones.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would have to be the jungle shootout scene. Seeing how easily the Batch and Rex’s men took down the Clones coming to kill them. The Assassin Clone manages to kill one of Rex’s men but Crosshair decides to stay behind and face the Assassin on his own. Even managing to snipe him once. Crosshair and the Assassin have a fight on a waterfall similar to how Black Panther and Killmonger had with Crosshair coming out as victor.
Standout Character
The Standout in this episode was absolutely Crosshair. We saw major development in his character through this episode, from his mental to physical abilities.
Verdict
The second episode was in a two-part episode release and this continued with the great story, great action, and incredible character development even though we’re three seasons in. The development that Crosshair has received and shown in this episode is absolutely tremendous.
