Season 2 Episode 13 – “The team takes refuge and finds new allies.”

What I Liked

1. We jump straight into a deal between some pirates and the Batch. The deal goes wrong and the deal ends up in a shootout between the two sides. Phee then does a Han Solo and shoots first but misses. The team makes their escape.

2. Phee takes the team to a planet where people go to take refuge. The island gives crystal blue seas with fantastic beaches and great views. The team also hears Omega laugh properly, which has been ages since she’s last laughed properly. It’s beautiful when you haven’t got the Empire ruining it.

3. The island life doesn’t last long when Hunter feels that something is coming, a tremor, and then a bigger tremor. The buildings and towns around the island begin to crack, and the water goes low, to set up for a massive tsunami.

What I Disliked

Nothing to report.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment would be the team scrambling to get all civilians over the wall and out of the way of the tsunami that is about to hit the towns. Omega and her new friend are close to the shore while the tsunami is coming and they get rescued just in time.

Standout Character

I’ll give this to Phee. Took the team to the place where she lives, introduced them to a whole new society, and even made Tech realize something beautiful.

Verdict

This was a massive filler episode, however, with the lack of action, this was still a really good episode. By far not the best but it was still good. I do like how with each episode, the Batch is becoming more and more human and less like soldiers.
