Season 1 Episode 8 “After Courtney gets herself into trouble following an unexpected confrontation, Pat decides they need to come clean to Barbara; Cindy takes heat from her father after a plan to take matters into her own hands goes awry.”
What I Liked
1. After Courtney is badly injured by Cindy, the team try to figure out what to do next. Rick is out for revenge but Beth takes the lead with this one and stands up to him as she wants to take a smarter approach and find out who Cindy’s parents are.
2. Pat has a meaningful discussion with the Cosmic staff as he asks it to protect Courtney, and if the danger becomes too much to take her away from it rather than drive her towards it.
3. Icicle confronts a man who he believes is partly responsible for his Wife’s death. His wife was a teacher and died from an illness caused by a poisoned water supply at the school. Icicle proceeds to kill the man by freezing him to death.
4. Henry’s powers are advancing as he begins to move objects with his mind.
5. Cindy pays Courtney a visit at her home after the “car crash” and apologizes for the way she behaved the previous day, but Courtney is not sure if she means the football match or the actual fight between them.
6. Beth, Yolanda and Rick take a trip to Cindy’s house but are greeted there by Pat. However, it is too late as Beth has already went to the door. As they enter the house Beth puts her goggles on and Chuck finds the secret room for the Injustice Society.
7. As Cindy is about to leave Courtney’s room she turns and says “I forgot to mention, I really like your staff, Stargirl”. This was followed with a not so subtle threat that she is going to kill all her friends, who happen to be at her house.
8. Cindy’s father’s identity is revealed to Beth and is known by the name of Dr Ito, who was a war criminal.
9. Despite needing to heal Courtney tries to leave the house to save the others, However, following the discussion between Pat and the Staff earlier on that day, the staff isn’t too eager to let her go.
10. Henry finds his dad’s suit and a letter from Cindy’s dad explaining that Cindy would watch over Henry.
11. As Courtney enters Cindy’s room another fight breaks out. Courtney doesn’t hold back and uses all her strength. As they take the fight outside after Courtney pushes her out the window with her staff, Henry appears and reads both of the girls’ minds. Cindy wants him to help her kill Courtney so they can both get a seat at the table, and Courtney pleads as Cindy is going to kill all her friends. However the fight is cut short after Henry’s own mind gets too much and knocks both of the girls down with a blow, Cindy is then taken underground by her fathers henchmen.
What I Disliked

Favourite Moment

Standout Character
Cindy again this week for the standout character. As it turns out Cindy is not only out to impress her father but is out to kill Stargirl and the rest of her team. She really is proving to be an amazing villain.
Verdict
My eyes were glued to the screen with this episode. One amazing thing after another, it was hard to keep up!
