What I Liked

1. Natalie has begun building her own suit. I do like this idea. I’d love to see her and John team up in both suits, that would be awesome.

2. I’m super happy to see Morgan back in our current world. I really want to see him be redeemed properly, I love the character. After Cal asks him what he wants in order to help him, he replies; “I want my brother back”. He then attempts to apologize to Lois when he’s out, I truly hope they keep him good moving forward.

3. Obviously Morgan is just chilling at the table whilst John and Sam rip him into him. I just found it hilarious when John calls him a sociopath and Morgan replies with; “there’s no need for name-calling”. Brilliant.

4. I have to give props to Kyle. He finds out earlier in the episode that Sarah is writing her own songs. At the end of the episode, he takes her to a bar with an open mic, and she sings. This was actually decent by Kyle.

What I Disliked

1. Lana is just been a nightmare in this episode. I’m halfway through writing this and so far she’s been a very poor aspect of the story. She’s upset about Clark telling her he’s Superman, but she’s mad at Lois for it instead. I just hate it when characters go down this route.

2. Morgan dipped after the fight with Ally. I mean, I get it. But it’s just so predictable that he’s going to do something. I would have been more surprised if he stuck around after helping.

3. Lana goes to tell Sarah about the news she’s learned about Superman but then opts out of doing so at the last minute. I swear this episode has been so predictable.

Favourite Moment

Ally shows up as Morgan and Cal are using their heat vision to destroy the pendant. Morgan doesn’t waste much time and attempts to attack but fails. Superman goes after her but fails. Then John flies up in a rush and knocks her out of the sky allowing Superman to get the pendant back. I did enjoy this scene a lot, it shows how powerful Ally has become. They do manage to destroy the pendant as well, I am intrigued to see where this goes.

Standout Character

Morgan Edge gets it for me. He made me laugh, he was on point destroying the pendant. It just all made the episode a lot better. He tends to have that effect. He did disappear after which I wasn’t a fan of but everything else was perfect.

Verdict

It was not the greatest episode of the season, but it still had its moments. The show needs to make sure it doesn’t pander to Lana too much moving forward otherwise this will get old real quick. An alright episode despite this.
