The Book of Boba Fett “Chapter 1: Stranger in a Strange Land” Review

Season 1 Episode 1 “Boba Fett holds court.”

What I Liked?

1. The episode begins with flashbacks to Kamino, to Geonosis where Boba holds his father’s helmet, and a flashback scene to the inside of the Sarlacc Pitt where Boba Fett sees a dead Stormtrooper and we get to see him burn his way out of the pit. We also get to witness how the Jawa’s actually got Boba Fett’s armor. This opening scene got me so excited.

2. Even while captured and tied up by the Tusken Raiders, Boba Fett is still a dangerous man, he manages to escape and takedown a creature by hand. He fights the creature while the Tusken Raiders watch, the tell the creature to stop while another Tusken Raider gives Boba Fett a 1 on 1 fight but ultimately is recaptured and beaten.

3. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand get attacked by a group of people with shields and electric sticks but are ultimately saved by their bodyguards which allows Fennec and Boba to get the best of the group and take each and every one of them down.

4. I love that The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett have both made the Tusken Raiders feel like they are misunderstood by fans. Both of the series has showcased that if you respect the Tusken Raiders or earn their respect you will be safe with them.

What I Disliked?

Favorite Moment

Would definitely be the moment when Boba, an alien, and a Tusken Raider are all digging for water and a huge creature with 4 arms appears and absolutely destroys all of the people digging for water. The Tusken Raider is about to be killed when Boba Fett saves his life by strangling the creature, killing it.

Standout Character

I have to give it to Boba Fett. This first episode not only solidified him as a great Bounty Hunter and soon-to-be leader, but it also showcased his ability to overcome any obstacle in his path, that he is handy with his hands and not only just rockets or a blaster.

The Verdict

Overall the first episode introduced fans to this need-and-improved Boba Fett, laying the groundwork as a Crime Lord in the overall season. The episode was basically a flashback episode of how he got out of the Sarlacc Pit as well as his way through the world of Tatooine.
