What I Liked

1. Barry finally shows up after Nora is trying to twist Eddie’s mind. We get a sweet moment where Barry hugs him and thanks him for saving his life all the way back from season 1. This was a touching moment and needed.

2. Nora vs Barry was a pretty decent fight. I say fight, Nora just kicked his ass and this was fairly enjoyable. That’s about the best I can describe it.

What I Disliked

1. We get to see the future of 2049. Allegra, Chester, and Cecile haven’t even aged. That’s just lazy from the showrunners and doesn’t look believable at all. You can’t tell me that in over 25 years Chester’s hair hasn’t even changed. Okay.

2. I can’t help but cringe at the dialogue between Mark and the team. It’s like it’s written by a 6-year-old. The acting above all else is just embarrassing as well.

3. Cecile gets upset when she finds out that she only visits Joe and Jenna twice a year while being a hero. This is a huge dislike because Cecile chooses to be a hero instead of a mother with Jenna and be a wife to Joe. It’s like the writers just completely forgot about her eldest daughter, Joanie. It really is just pathetic for the writers at this stage.

4. Eddie walking out from Iris was again, embarrassing. I can’t stress enough how poor the dialogue has been in this episode. The amount of times I’ve felt my entire body cringe is ridiculous.

Favorite Moment

I do feel really sorry Eddie. He’s accepting the negative speed force energy because he’s so lost. He’s coming back from ending his own life to kill the Reverse Flash only for it to be pointless. He’s also got nothing left. I completely get it.

Standout Character

Eddie was the only character that was remotely decent in this episode. His arc is decent but overshadowed by everything else. I scored characters a 3, Eddie is a major part of that score even being 3. If it wasn’t for Eddie this would have been a much lower rating.

Verdict

A boring episode fuelled with atrocious dialogue, poor acting, and terrible direction. There was only a small handful of things that were good about this episode and even then, I had to truly pick them out, and were nothing of true importance. This shouldn’t be so poor when we’re literally a single episode away from the show’s ending.
