What I Liked
1. Kramer does have a point about how the Flash brings criminals into CCPD. I get that he’s a hero, he stops crimes, saves people, but he doesn’t truly give the CCPD any information on the crime, half of the time they don’t know why they are brought in.
2. I like how Kramer began showing her “meta” side when she said she would willingly die before she allows Goldface to get the bullets that can make any meta-human lose their abilities, including The Flash. Kramer is beginning to become a decent character.
3. While Kramer is distracting Goldface, we get to see such a cool shot of Barry utilizing his speed to get the wrist bomb off. He snaps the wrist bomb, it explodes and he manages to use his speed to run out of the room and take down Goldface. Decent scene.
4. While it is another person who knows his identity, I do like how Kramer finally knows that Barry is The Flash because of how he left his chard bracelet behind in the explosion. We get a tease of what is wrong with Iris too. She is having food with Joe, he goes upstairs and small things begin to disappear like Iris was stuck in one motion for ages. I wonder what will happen with this story going forward.
What I Disliked
1. At this current moment, I have no interest in a storyline about Frost and her boyfriend, Caitlin and her dating life, or even whatever weird stuff Chester and Allegra have going on. Literally, I do not care for it at all, why is this being a “major” thing?
2. Frost’s boyfriend Mark said to Caitlin “you may not like me” like, yes. No one likes this character at all, why does he keep returning, brings nothing to the show at all. His powers are boring, his personality is bland.
Favourite Moment
Barry finally realizes that the only reason Kramer has been wanting to get in touch with The Flash is so she can control her powers because when she mimics a meta, she can not control it. Barry tells her to trust her instincts so that he can take 30 seconds to get the wrist bomb off.
Standout Character
I honestly think I’m going to give this to Kramer this week. She’s wanting to learn her abilities and instead of doing it by herself and getting herself into trouble, she’s willingly wanting to work with The Flash. We also get to see her detective skills come into play when she figures out that Barry is The Flash and hides some evidence for him.
Verdict
Honestly, this episode was a mixed bag. What I mean by that is that half of the episode that involved Caitlin, Chester, or any side character like that was so beyond boring that it wasn’t even remotely interesting, I fully believe Iris was more interesting and she was in the episode for around 30 seconds. The story involving Kramer and Barry was actually decent. Goldface surprisingly was an ok villain in this episode.
