The hype around Spider-Man, The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, and somewhat the Sony Universe is at an all-time high and is seemingly still growing.
Spider-Man: No Way home was recently released and has already broken numbers at the Box Office, I saw and reviewed the movie and have come away with theories and thoughts on how I would continue to do the Spider-Man universe (meaning Tom Holland and others) in the future.
Spoilers for the movie are below!!!
Tom Holland
With Tom Holland, his future is pretty much confirmed to be receiving an all-new trilogy in the near future with appearances in other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects as well as some Sony appearances as well (rumored).
So with Tom, I personally would have him continue to be the main Spider-Man, where he’s in this universe with The Avengers and other Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes and villains. I would also have him appear in Sony-related movies like Morbius, Venom 3, and so on.
With Tom, it’s pretty standard, he’s the main Spidey and will continue to be until he’s ready to step away from the role. We got to see the beginning of him truly becoming a great hero at the end of the movie when he figures it would be best just to not introduce and regain the friendships with Ned and MJ.
Andrew Garfield
With Andrew’s Spider-Man, allowing Sony to take the character and finally give the fans an Amazing Spider-Man 3 as this has been a trending topic among fans on Twitter all day long and has people wanting it even more than before.
I personally would have him remember the events of No Way Home as we can already tell the characters that “forgot” will eventually get the memories back and will reunite with Tom’s Spider-Mans or having Andrew remember the events and some of the conversations mainly with Max (Electro) about a “black Spider-Man”.
Have Miles Morales debut in Amazing Spider-Man 3 and somehow at the end of that movie have Miles be teleported or scouted for a mission across the multiverse and have him come to Tom Hollands universe to continue his story of being Spider-Man as seen in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated show.
Tobey Maguire
With Tobey, as his Spider-Man is a slightly older version compared to that of Tom Holland and Andrew Garfiel, my answer for Tobey would simply be an “Old Man Spider-Man” movie. Have a similar vibe and story to “Logan” only far much better.
I would have Tobey essentially go up against one last powerful villain which would either severely hurt Peter or even kill him and finally lay his version of the character to rest and truly make way for other Spider-Men going forward. I feel as though we’ve seen everything from Tobey as Spider-Man.
So to see him go out in a “Logan” style movie would be a perfect ending for the character.
Overall I see no reason as to why they would not capitalize on the hype that No Way Home has given fans, they are finally talking and coming together to honestly talk about all 3 Spider-Men and hardly fighting or bullying each other. It’s actually truly great to see.
