Fox has decided not to renew The Gifted for a third season. The Gifted was a family adventure series set in Marvel’s X-Men universe, which came from 20th Century Fox TV which of course is now apart of Disney.
There is no real talk. There is a small chance that the Gifted could find a new home over on Disney+. The Gifted was well received by critics, with the second season scoring even higher on rotten Tomatoes.
The Gifted started slow but quickly picked up in terms of action. The scenes were amazing and the actors had good dynamics with each other. The show gave us some truly great characters from the X-Men and even hinted at Magneto a few times throughout both seasons.
Season one of The Gifted was amazing because it established the post X-Men would it would be set in and let us know what happened to the X-Men. Season 2 picked up right where it left off and gave us many memories like John going full Thunderbird and gave us Polaris’s green helmet. I’m sad because season 2 left us on a huge cliffhanger by Blink (who apparently died) returning from the future and the characters heading there to see what Blink was warning up about.
“The Gifted” was set in the Marvel “X-Men” universe and followed a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their teenage children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family seeks help from a underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
