The Mandalorian is hands down the best TV series ever. Jon Favreau created the best piece of Star Wars content since episode 3 Revenge of the Sith movie.
We reviewed each episode and they all turned out to be 10 out of 10 episodes. We were surprised but yet still amazed each week. Since they all got 10 out of 10, Which episodes are top 5?
5. Chapter 3: The Sin – Mandalorian goes wild saving Grogu
We had plenty of episodes to decide from to put as number 5 but after a talk, we decided to do Chapter 3. This episode was amazing from start to finish as this was the beginning of the fatherhood Din would later have with Grogu.
The action and suspense in this episode was great, it was so well handled. The action and fight scene Din took against a building full of Stormtroopers, then against the Guild of bounty hunters, he got pinned down but more Mandalorian’s came to the rescue. This is one of my favourite episodes.
4. Chapter 11: The Heiress – Bo-Katan debuts in live-action
Bo-Katan appeared in countless animated episodes in the Clone Wars and Rebels, voiced by Katee Sackhoff and she was the one to debut as Bo-Katan in live-action. This episode was great because it expanded The Mandalorians in live-action even more.
Not to mention, the action in this episode was beyond amazing. From The Night Owls saving Din to them running a “heist” on board an Imperial Ship. We also got to see Din tank countless blaster hits.
3. Chapter 14: The Tragedy – Boba Fett faces off against The Empire
So this episode was going to be great either way, but in a way, I didn’t expect was having Boba Fett and Fennic Shand follow Din to Typhon to reclaim the once feared Boba Fett Mandalorian armour.
In the episode, Stormtroopers rain down on the trio so Boba unleashes his rage against The Empire, Smashing and brutalizing the Stormtroopers, killing each one swiftly.
2. Chapter 13: The Jedi – Ahsoka Tano debuts in live-action
We knew this was coming well before season 2 aired with Rosario Dawson being cast as the famous Ahsoka Tano. What made this episode special more than just Ahsoka, was learning so much about Grogu. His name, the fact he was present during Order 66 and training, what needs to be done, how he feels and so much more. It pushed on the story for Grogu more than anything.
Next up is obviously the amazing Ahsoka directly. This was the first episode we see lightsaber action, and it’s so beautifully done. Rosario did a fantastic job in bringing the character out of the animations and into real-life. It made sense for to be there, and this was one of my favourite episodes in any TV show. It all just fit together so well.
1. Chapter 16: The Rescue – Luke Skywalker returns
There has never been an episode on any TV show ever that has brought the intensity, the emotions and the feelings this episode did. It was the perfect episode from start to finish. We got an initial space battle, the darksaber was in action, and most importantly Luke Skywalker returned.
The entire premise of this entire scene was just so well done, it’s difficult to say it could have been done better because I simply just can’t see it. The background music, the force, the lightsaber strikes, the slow reveal shot by shot showing us it’s Luke, all the way to Luke revealing himself. Dare I say this was the best episode in TV history?
