What I Liked
1. You know, over the course of these first three episodes, Victor has grown on me as a character within the DC world. Although, he did start off as a young character that wasn’t interesting at all but has slowly become more and more when we’ve seen him grow as a character. The actor’s portrayal has been great too.
2. We get to see the flashback of Victor’s past and the moment he lost everything because of the events of The Batman movie. We saw what he went through at that moment, and we got a new look at those events and what could have been had he stayed home.
3. While Oz and Sofia are inside the club trying to make a deal with the triad, Victor is waiting in the car with the bag full of bliss. He gets pulled over by a cop who searches Victor and finds his money. Victor, learning the life, bribes the cop with his cash to Victor’s surprise, works.
4. I think over the course of these three episodes, Oz truly cares for Victor, even if it is a tiny bit overboard. He knows Victor was going through some stuff in this episode and didn’t push. He spoke to Victor as a human, as someone who cares. He talked about Victor’s parents and listened when Victor spoke about them.
5. I loved the intense scene between Oz and Vick. The scene was truly captivated by both performances from each actor. It lit a spark under Vick. Oz spoke the truth to Vick and it’s what he needed to hear. That he stuck around Oz because he wanted more. He wants a better life than his father, he saw how he was, and he wants more. Oz will deliver that.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
I actually really loved seeing Oz snap. While he’s had his fair share of action throughout the first three episodes, seeing someone actually call him “Penguin” and him just lose his temper and basically shove a phone down someone’s throat was intense.
Standout Character
Honestly, I’m giving this to Vick. He was absolutely fantastic in this episode. In each scene, you could truly see him pour his heart out.
Verdict
While not much action took place in this episode. This episode had a lot of range from the acting ability to the emotional scenes and intensely emotional dialogue. Honestly, the scenes and relationship between Oz and Vick is outstanding.
