What I Liked
1. Despite how annoying Conner has been this episode, his idea of moving satellites around to stop the red moon is genius. We know the Lex side is coming out more in him compared to Superman so this is interesting to an extent.
2. I’ve already mentioned this before but I do like how well Jinx has just fit into the team. She puts up a tough exterior but she always does want to help. This stemmed further as she is assisting Rachel into getting her powers back.
3. Finally, some Gar action! He just shows up at Sebastian’s initiation as a gorilla and just takes down multiple of Mayhem’s followers. Brilliant!
4. Raven gets her powers back, meaning both she and Starfire almost have Mayhem beaten until Sebastian drinks the blood, sides with Mayhem and Black Bolt screams the Titans until they teleport out. This was actually a pretty damn good reveal. I can’t wait to see how this goes moving forward. I do seriously hope that means Jinx isn’t dead either.
What I Disliked
1. Conner is just shit this season. He’s nothing but a detriment to the team and this season. We’ve had the character that whinges all the way through and it seems we’re continuing again. When I watch Titans I want to see proper teamwork, we’ve got our villains, he’s just wasted again. What a shame.
2. Meddling in again with Starfire’s powers is a no-go for me. They’ve already changed her powers up and now we’re told if she “loses it”, she’ll die. They did it well at the beginning of the season, I was excited to see her use more of that power but now they’ve ruined that.
Favorite Moment
“Yeah I’ll fucking kill her, I’ll nut her” – Jinx 2022.
Standout Character
It’s an odd one to give this week as no character again particularly stuck out. However, I do have to grant this award so it goes to Jinx again. She made me laugh, she almost nearly had Mother Mayhem beat and she’s an all-around brilliant character so it’s her again.
Verdict
I did enjoy where they went with this episode and while it was a great episode, it feels weaker than the previous 3 seasons we’ve had so far. There is a lot of confusion surrounding specific arks and it’s not making much sense. I love Titans but this isn’t as good as it has been in the past.
