TMNT: The Last Ronin Video Game Officially Announced

Back in March of this year, it was announced that a video game based on the fan-favorite graphic novel, The Last Ronin would be making its way to video game form. While nothing truly has been revealed about the game, we finally have our first tease.

THQ Nordic Digital showcase gave us a teaser trailer for the game.

“Who is the Last Ronin? In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone surviving Turtle embarks on a seemingly hopeless mission seeking justice for the family he lost.”

Unfortunately, they did not deliver any additional information or any first looks at the game. Which is understandable. From what the rumors are saying, it’s gameplay is similar to that of God of War.

In the Last Ronin graphic novel storyline, the final surviving member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is on a quest for revenge in a ruined New York City. Both the trailer and the new synopsis point toward this being the case for the game as well.

From the minds of the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and based on the best-selling comic book event by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers: the official video game adaptation of TMNT: The Last Ronin.

  • Set in a futuristic, war-ravaged NYC
  • A darker tone, “aimed at an older and more mature audience
  • Only one Ninja Turtle is alive
  • Similar to big ARPGS like God of War
  • Coming exclusively to current-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox series X|S, PC)
  • Developed by Black Forest Games
  • Likely still a “few years off”

I seriously can not wait for this game.
