The sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order isn’t too far away. We’re set for a release in 2023, although a full release date is yet to be confirmed by EA or Respawn Entertainment.
The first game was one of my all-time favorites so it’s not too surprising that I’m incredibly excited to see what the next installment of the franchise brings us.
The last game set its own path and only featured one popular cameo. This was Obi-Wan Kenobi on hologram with the warning to stay away from the Jedi Temple.
There are 5 cameos I’d love to see show up. Here’s the list;
1. Obi-Wan Kenobi
This is one of the cameos that make sense. We know the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series was set in 9 BBY, the same year that Survivor will take place. Whether it’s before or after the events of Kenobi isn’t known as of yet. If it’s set after the events of Kenobi then it makes sense Kenobi himself could be included in the game in some way. It’ll be great if they can get the voice of Ewan McGregor to do this also.
Obi-Wan himself has technically already featured in the game albeit through a hologram. After the Kenobi show, we know he’s alive and well so I can’t see any particular reason why he can’t be involved. Even more so if Cal Kestis is fighting another Sith or again, Vader.
2. Darth Maul
We have all of the foundations for Maul built already. Part of the first game is that Cal visits Dathomir (the birthplace of Maul), fights Taron Malicos who has taken control, and by the end is joined by Nightsister Merrin. During my very first playthrough, I was quite surprised we never got a mention of Maul or even see him, so this could make sense. It would make even more sense if Maul is aware of what happened.
Ideally, for me, Maul would have been the main villain for the game but we know this isn’t happening now. It’s not a bad thing, but I’d absolutely love to see Maul and Cal cross paths in whatever sense it’ll be.
3. Mace Windu
I am fully aware this selection is very unorthodox and unlikely to happen, but how good would it be?! After all of the conspiracies that Windu survived the encounter with Palpatine and Anakin, this would be sure to drive sales through the roof for the game. There are some conspiracies that do make a lot of sense, i.e taking that amount of electricity and did he survive the drop from the window.
Even if the cameo is just very minute, it’ll be amazing to see Mace Windu back in the Star Wars universe. One of the reasons why this cameo is included is more down to Star Wars Theory’s video. I’ll link this below so you can watch it;
4. Yoda
We know Yoda did guide surviving Jedi through the force and obviously assisted Luke during his training in person. I wouldn’t expect Cal to actually go and see Yoda but it would be great to see Yoda or hear his voice guiding Cal Kestis through his journey.
Cal was very young Jaro Tapal was killed meaning Cal never got to complete his full training as a Jedi. It’s clear during the first game that Cal didn’t truly feel at ease when it came to fighting. He had to relearn all of his force skills and basically, a lot of the fights were lucky. He only technically defeated The Ninth Sister. He ran away against The Second Sister the first time, BD-1 helped the second time and Vader ended the third. He only beat Taron due to the Nightsister and he ran away from Vader. All in all, this would make sense that Yoda would help him after all of this, because in the end, Yoda would surely know.
5. Ahsoka Tano
Ahsoka is one of the most obvious choices out of this list. We know Ahsoka is still active during episodes 3 and 4. There is also a large build up of hype around Tano at the moment due to her appearances on The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and obviously leading into her own show.
Judging by the trailer from Survivor, Cal looks to be pretty much alone so I’d assume he’ll take any help he can get. By him going through another “lose it all” moment, Ahsoka could be the one that builds him back up again for the greater good.
Is there any character you’d love to see show up in Survivor? Let me know down in the comments below.
