We are mere hours away from the next installment in the Book of Boba Fett’s first season and the last episode left off on a cliffhanger about The Mandalorian making his debut into the series and fully aligning the timeline of both series.
We obviously know that Din is otherwise known as “Mando” will be receiving a call from Boba Fett and Fennic Shand to come help with a problem involving the Pike Syndicate on Tatooine.
But who are some other options Boba could potentially call in for backup within the Star Wars universe?
5. Captain Rex
Captain Rex makes this list because he is alive and well around the time of Return of the Jedi so to have him make his live-action debut would make perfect sense and Temuera Morrison has stated that it would be “fun” to portray Rex. It would also be great to see Boba interact with a clone of his father, Jango. It’s also no secret that Rex is arguably the best clone of all time.
4. Bossk
Bossk is an interesting pick because of two things. Firstly, his relationship with Boba. He was the one to teach Boba how to become a bounty hunter in some ways, Bossk and Boba have also fought each other in the past with the result being Bossk losing both legs. Secondly, Krrsantan is on Boba’s side so that would also be an internal issue if Bossk was to join Boba.
3. Dengar
Dengar is someone fans want to see show up because of how important he is to some of Boba Fett’s stories. I get it. Originally in Legends Dengar freed Boba from the Sarlacc Pit, I believe on both occasions. Their friendship grew to the point that Boba was Dengar’s best man at his wedding.
2. Doctor Aphra
Technically, I don’t think Boba would call Aphra for backup, this would more so be Krrsantan. These two have worked together on more than one occasion, Aphra is one person with who Krrsantan can get along with and with Krrsantan making his live-action debut and Aphra rumored to be receiving her own series at some point, this would be a great way to introduce her.
1. Bad Batch
My personal favorite group to show up, however, is very unlikely as at this point, they are working on other stories surrounding the Bad Batch. They currently have season 2 of their own animated series so for them to appear now will most likely spoil any upcoming project. However, if you were to introduce this group, they’d offer Boba something unique, an appearance similar to him just with powers, essentially.
- Wrecker – he’ll be the Tank, along with Krrsantan and probably will want a fight with him too.
- Echo/Tech – the hackers/communications people.
- Hunter – Tacticle awareness and the ability to track electromagnetics planet-wide.
- Omega – Boba’s recently revealed “sister”.
I’ll leave Crosshair out of this as currently, we do not know if he has rejoined his brothers or continued to work for the empire.
This is just a handful of options that could appear to aid Boba to take on one of the galaxy’s biggest crime syndicates.
