We all know phase 4 has been rocky in places but we often forget that it’s had some powerhouses. TV series such as WandaVision, Falcon & The Winter Soldier, and Loki were all amazing. Spider-Man: No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness, and Wakanda Forever were also fantastic.
Obviously, we’ve had some poor parts as well. She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel weren’t great. Eternals and Black Widow were poor as well.
However, despite the up and downs, we begin to look forward to the next phase of Marvel now that Wakanda Forever marked the end of phase 4. Here are the 5 projects I am looking forward to the most, not in any particular order.
1. Captain America: New World Order (2024)
After being completely blown away by Falcon & The Winter Soldier, this is the project I’m most excited about. Anthony Mackie is our next Captain America in Sam Wilson. We saw the new suit with the shield and he looked incredible. We don’t know really any details on what the film will entail but I am beyond excited to see Sam Wilson smash it in his first solo film.
2. Ironheart (2023)
This is a project I am actually really excited about. After seeing Riri in Wakanda Forever and seeing her come into her own during the film, I have a feeling she is going to be brilliant in her own Disney+ exclusive show. Hopefully, the Directors do this show justice considering the last 2 Marvel series we had.
3. Thunderbolts (2024)
This is a film that’s been worked up to within the TV series. We’ve seen Valentina show up multiple times to “recruit” new faces. This already includes Yelena and U.S. Agent. So far, we know the lineup (as of now) is Bucky, Ghost, Taskmaster, and Red Guardian plus the first 2 I mentioned. It will also include Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross, replacing the late William Hurt who sadly passed away.
4. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
The third film tends to always be the most brutal for our heroes. Spider-Man lost everything. Tony lost his home and suits. Thor lost his eye, his father, his home planet, and Mjolnir. Captain America lost his freedom. We already know Dave Bautista is done as Drax after this film and we also know this is the final Guardians film, so even knowing those 2 facts, it’s safe to say it’s going to be interesting, especially with Adam Warlock being introduced.
5. Loki season 2 (2023)
Loki’s season 1 was absolutely fantastic. It brought this brand new entity within the universe in the TVA, something that just blew me away from the beginning. We also get to see Loki hold his own with Sylvie as they look to take over and also stop things from happening. I loved the first season and I can’t wait to see where season 2 goes.
Obviously, I am looking forward to all of phase 5 as there are so amazing projects in the works. More so, Kang in Quantamania but these 5 I’ve mentioned are the ones I’m overly hyped for as it stands at the moment. Blade would have made the list over Loki if it wasn’t for the mess with the Directors at present.
